We built it and they came (and then went).

In the year 2000, the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) wanted to attract a new generation of arts patrons. So they invested in the creation of ColumbusArts.com, an interactive guide to local events and organizations.

ColumbusArts.com featured descriptions of shows and exhibits, tours of some venues, information on current ticket specials, links to organizations and trivia blurbs. It also provided helpful hints. But the site’s main feature was the Event Finder—a searchable database of arts activity, which brings up a lot of choices based on the search criteria you type in. For the tech-savvy generation, this was the ultimate guide for finding something to do across town. For me, it was educational!
